RFDataFactory

NSF Workshop on Radio Frequency Dataset Generation, Access, and Sharing

June 6 & 7, 2022. In-person & Hybrid Workshop

Contact: Email RFDataFactory Website

Workshop Overview

The purpose of this workshop is to collect community input, assess existing capabilities and create a roadmap of transformative technologies needed to democratize the generation, access and sharing of RF datasets. This workshop will additionally bridge US and international communities while diving into legal, systems-centric, and privacy-preserving aspects of RF datasets. The workshop will hopefully identify open challenges for the wireless community as well as serve as a strategic guide for future investments by the NSF. The meeting will feature leading researchers with representation from academia, industry and federal agencies. There are no fees for attending the workshop in person, and academic participants will be reimbursed part of travel expenses. Participation is requested through the submission of one-page white papers with bold visions and challenges for the community to consider (submission link below). At a minimum, the workshop will include technical discussions on the following:

  • Technical architectures for privacy protection in RF datasets

  • RF dataset generation tools and resources

  • Models for making RF datasets available to stakeholders

  • International priorities and partnerships for large-scale RF data collection efforts

  • Demos of RFDataFactory APIs

  • Building public trust and confidence is using and certifying RF datasets

This workship is organized under the RFDataFactory project, supported by the US National Science Foundation CISE Community Infrastructure (CCRI) Award #2120447.
